Fun Street and Birth, Birth, Baby & Beyond join forces to support families living in poverty

Just in time for Christmas the owners of Fun Street in Silverburn have partnered up with Birth, Baby & Beyond to strengthen the support available to children and families living in poverty.

Founded in 2012, Birth, Baby & Beyond have supported thousands of families living in poverty with free essential items such as infant food, sleeping equipment, clothing and much more.

After discovering the life changing work the charity does within the community, Fun Street reached out to the charity and have now set up a partnership offering a charity donation and a variety of fun days out for families in need!

Although located in Silverburn shopping centre, Fun Street is located within one of the most deprived areas of Glasgow and understand that not all families are able to access the kind of days out other children can benefit from at Fun Street.

By working in partnership with Birth, Baby & Beyond Fun Street are opening up opportunities to children and families that will enhance learning.

Quote from Birth, Baby & Beyond founder Natasha Earle:

“We are so pleased to be working alongside Fun Street to better support families living in poverty.

Most families living in poverty would be unable to have days out at such a wonderful children’s centre and will greatly benefit form free sessions and days out. Poverty often goes hand in hand with isolation.

Giving children the opportunity to play with other children will have huge benefits on their mental health, development and promotes physical exercise at the same time.”

Quote from Fun Street:

“Fun Street is honoured to be partnering up with Birth Baby and Beyond. As a new business to the area, we want to give children a chance to play in a fun environment without the burden of their worries and escape from their hardships albeit temporarily.

They can experience carefree play and improve their emotional well-being.

We believe our collaboration with this charity will empower the kids so they feel an important part of our community.”
